The Big Red began the game at a fast pace, producing its fair share of shots-on-goal. After 15 minutes of play, Cornell made hay of its scoring-chances.Â
Adam found the back of the net to break the drought at the 15:46-mark. With just under one minute left in the first-period, Cornell extended its lead to 2-0 when Linzi scored. As the clock wound down, Delianedis added insurance by scoring with 10 seconds remaining.
Lily Delianedis had the hot-stick, as she would add another to Cornell's advantage just 20 seconds into the second period. Prefontaine made it 5-0 when she scored.
Lester Paige netted a goal for the Crimson in the second period to spoil the shutout, but that would be all for Harvard as Cornell skated away with a 5-1 victory.
Annelies Bergmann collected 19 saves en route to her fifth win of the season.
