DURHAM, NH — Cornell women's polo defeated the University of New Hampshire 13-12 on Sunday to move its record to 5-2 on the season.
Freshman Naomi Marlough had nine goals in the game leading the Big Red in scoring and junior Lara Chong notched three goals.
"Our team really learned a lot about fighting hard under adverse circumstances to keep themselves in the game, both mentally and physically. Our penalty shooting acumen really paid off today, securing the victory for Cornell," said The Peter B. Orthwein `68 Head Coach of Polo Anthony Condo Jr.
FIRST CHUCKER

Brynn Roberts opened up with a hat-trick for UNH to put them up 3-0 early in the first chucker.

Chong and Marlough each notched a goal to bring it to a one goal game at 3-2 in favor of UNH.

Roberts ended the chucker with one more goal to extend the lead for UNH to 4-2.
SECOND CHUCKER

Marlough opened the second chucker for the Big Red with two back-to-back goals and then Chong scored one to give Cornell its first lead of the game 5-4.

Dogani then scored twice for UNH and Roberts scored once to end the chucker with UNH up 6-5.
