WATCHUNG, N.J. -- The Cornell men's golf team posted its best score of the weekend (292) but could not climb the leaderboard during the final round of the 2024 Ivy League Championship Sunday from Watchung Valley Golf Club. Overall, Cornell finished with an 893 over 54 holes, putting them seventh in the final standings. The 893 over the three-day event is the lowest Cornell has carded since finishing second in the 2017 championship held in Greenwich, Conn.

Freshman Tyler Debusschere shook off a team-worst 79 on Saturday with a solid showing over the final 18 on Sunday. After starting the day with a bogey, Debusschere hunkered down with a team-best five birdies to finish with a two-under-69. Overall, the freshman rose seven spots to share 12th with Princeton's Tommy First. Debusschere's finish is the best a Big Red golfer has performed at Ivies since (Jack) Tianyi Cen earned sixth at the 2019 championship held in Egg Harbor. Sophomore Weston Warden also carded his best round with a three-over-71, including two birdies on the back nine to finish with a 226 over 54 holes and 26th overall.

The best-round mantra carried over to Viktor Stollinger, shooting a four-over-75 on Sunday to earn a tie for 29th alongside Havard's Kevin Sze with a 229. Jackson Debusschere (78-73-80-231) and Tismark Boham (0-75-74-149) closed out the competitors for the Big Red on the weekend.

The Yale Bulldogs put on a show on Sunday, shooting up the leaderboard with a tournament-best nine-under 275 to take home its second team championship in the last three seasons (286-282-275-843). Princeton, who came into the final 18 as the leader, finished three shots back (282-281-283-846). Harvard (291-285-283-846), Columbia (286-293-292-871), and Penn (287-296-298-881) closed out the top five. Yale's Ben Carpenter earned the individual medalist honor and a trip to the NCAA Regionals by a stroke over Princeton's William Huang. Harvard's Brian Ma (-7), Yale's Robert You (-5), and defending medalist Riccardo Fantinelli (-4) rounded out the top of the individual leaderboard.
