ITHACA, N.Y. — A total of 19 Cornell men's ice hockey student-athletes were named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.

Gabriel Seger '24 was named to his fifth ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team on Tuesday, one of nine ECAC Hockey players to achieve the feat, joining Clarkson's Mathieu Gosselin and Anthony Romano, Colgate's Ethan Manderville, Princeton's Adam Robbins, Quinnipiac's Jayden Lee and CJ McGee, St. Lawrence's Cameron Buhl, and Union's Chaz Smedsrud. Seger earned his first three academic honors from the conference during his time at conference rival Union.

Rising senior defensemen Hank Kempf and Tim Rego and rising senior forwards Sullivan Mack, Jack O'Leary, Kyle Penney, and Ondrej Psenicka all received their third All-Academic Team awards.

Along with being earning his third ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team award, Mack was named to the ECAC Hockey Commissioner's List for a second consecutive season. One player from each of the 12 members programs receive the distinction of being named to the Commissioner's List, which is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average.
