Caroline Ramsey Named To USA Field Hockey National Team

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Caroline Ramsey '24 has been named to the 2025 USA Field Hockey National team it was announced today. Cornell's first two-time All-American in field hockey, she was a member of the national team in 2022 and has two international caps. Ramsey was one of 37 athletes selected.

Ramsey was previously part of the team that took bronze at the 2022 Uniphar 5-Nations Tournament in Dublin, Ireland, and has also toured South Africa, New Zealand and Oman with the national team.

The 2023 NFHCA Mideast Regional Player of the Year and Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year, Ramsey was a first-team All-Ivy and NFHCA All-Region pick for the third time in her career that season. She ranked second nationally in goals (24) and points (54), both single-season school records, while leading the Big Red to a second-place finish in the Ancient Eight and a school-record 12 wins. She was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week four times and was credited with the game winners in eight of the team's victories with three additional defensive saves (second in the Ivy League) from her position in the midfield.

The three-year captain graduated with Cornell single-game records for goals (four), as well as season and career records for goals, game-winning goals, points, and defensive saves. For her efforts in 2023, she was named to the NFHCA Division I Senior Team. With Ramsey spearheading the attack, Cornell led the nation in scoring average (3.21), assists per game (3.65), and points per game (10.47), all single-season school records. The Big Red was also second in Division I in scoring margin (1.99).
