STREAKS, STORYLINES & SIDEBARS 

  • Cornell women's basketball is 4-10 on the season and 0-1 in Ivy League play after dropping its Ivy League opener 39-72 on Saturday at Princeton. 
  • Tipoff against the Big Red's next Ivy opponent, Columbia, is set for Saturday, Jan. 11 at 1:00 p.m. in Newman Arena. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. 
  • This is Cornell's first Ivy home game of the season. Cornell is currently 2-2 overall at home this season. 
  • The Big Red welcomed a new Rebecca Quinn Morgan ‘60 Head Coach of Women’s Basketball this season in Emily Garner. Garner came from Trinity College where she served as the head coach since 2016. Garner picked up her first win at the helm of the program against Army on Monday, Nov. 4. 
  • Cornell was selected seventh in the Ivy League preseason media poll. The Big Red is currently in seventh as of Jan. 6, 2025. 
  • Cornell finished 7-19 in the 2023-24 season, ending at seventh in the Ancient Eight. 
  • Emily Pape leads Cornell in points per game with 12.9, steals per game with 1.1 and rebounds per game with 6.9. Pape and Summer Parker-Hall lead the team in total blocks with ten. Azareya Kilgoe leads in assists per game with 2.4

• Guided Trinity (Conn.) to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances (2023, 2024) and      the school's first-ever NESCAC regular season title.
• Teams posted a 124-55 record, including a 96-35 mark over her final five seasons.
• Four major conference award winners in the conference, including three different           Defensive Players of the Year, as well as a two-time All-American.
