ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women's fencing team will travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., to take part in the Vassar Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 9.
The Big Red started the season with a 5-0 weekend at the Drew Invitational, going a combined 106-25.
Brianna Lee's posted a 13-2 mark in foil competition, while
Emersyn Runions finished 11-1 in epee.
Mia Hsu recorded a 10-2 mark to lead the sabre squad.

The Cornell fencing team earned seven victories on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2024 at the Vassar Invitational. The eighth-ranked Big Red toppled No. 12 Yale and a pair of nationally-ranked Division III opponents while going 156-33 in individual bouts on the day.
The Big Red cruised through the day until it came to the final matchup of the day with the Bulldogs. Cornell won 21-6 or better, including a shutout of the host school Vassar by a 27-0 margin. The sabre group was the difference against Yale, going 6-3 after the teams split foil and epee.

Cornell will compete at the Brandeis Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 7 in Waltham, Mass.
