ITHACA, N.Y. — Fresh off a strong performance at the Vassar Invitational, the Cornell Big Red Fencing squad will head into the Brandeis Invitational looking to end the fall semester on a high note.
The Season So Far…
Cornell entered Vassar riding the momentum of a perfect 5–0 showing at the Drew Invitational, with standout individual bout tallies including 106–25 overall in favor of the Big Red.
At Vassar, Cornell went 6–1 overall. Its sabre squad was especially dominant, posting a 41–16 record, which underscores sabre as a clear strength as the team moves forward.
The team also showed strong showings in foil and epee helped avoid over reliance on a single weapon, a balanced approach that will serve them well in a larger invitational like Brandeis.
