PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Cornell men's swimming and diving team delivered a pair of championship performances and finished in fifth-place overall with 616.5 points on day three of the 2025 Ivy League Championships at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
Cornell's 400-yard medley relay team of
Pietro Ubertalli,
Sebastian Wolff,
Joseph Gurski, and
Dominic Edwards took first place in 3:06.39, setting a pool record and securing Cornell's first relay title at the Ivy League Championships since 2007. Ubertalli also won gold in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 45.29 seconds.
Blake Conway finished fifth (46.57), and
Gabe Anagnoson (48.05) and
Josh Toothman (47.86) added points in the B- and C-finals.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Gurski placed fourth with his time of 46.23 seconds, with
Jacques Grove (47.11) and
Daniel Simoes (47.13) scoring in the B-final.
Andrew Lin swam in the C-final, finishing in 49.20. In the 400-yard individual medley,
Julian Correa finished sixth in 3:47.04, and
Haihan Xu (3:58.35) and
Alan Shaaban (4:05.66) added points in the C-final.
Dominic Edwards placed 11th in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:35.88. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Wolff finished seventh (52.74), while
Connor Brown (53.64),
Jack Banks (54.16),
Haihan Xu (54.09), and
Emmanuel Gadson (56.10) also contributed to the team score.
