Cornell Falls in First Meet of Road Series at Brockport

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Cornell gymnastics fell to SUNY Brockport on Friday night 192.900-192.725 at the Tuttle North Gymnastics Center.

Sydney Beers won the all-around competition with a score of 38.875. Her highest event was the vault with a 9.775.

BARS

Cornell scored a season-high 48.175 in their opening event. The effort was led by Morgen Shambo with a 9.675 to place fourth with Addy Rothstein and Dahlia Jhaveri following up in fifth, each with a score of 9.650.

VAULT

Beers won the vault with a 9.775 mark. Michaela DeFrancisco finished second tying her season-high mark of 9.750.

FLOOR

Josie Moylan hit a season-high 9.825 on the floor to place second overall on the apparatus. Nora Sherman tied for fifth as an exhibition gymnast for Cornell with a 9.750.   

BEAM

Beers tied for second on the beam with a score of 9.750. Kate Michelini and Natalia Tehrani tied for fifth, scoring 9.650 each.
