With the victory, Cornell remains at the top of the conference standings and has clinched a first-round bye in the ECAC Hockey tournament.

Despite a second-half resurgence, the no. 9-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team falls to Union 3-2 on Friday afternoon at Lynah Rink. The Big Red dropped to 1-3-1 on the season, while the Garnet Chargers improved to 5-6.
The Big Red notched two goals in the loss. The first came in the second period from

Big Red Players To Watch
Annelies Bergmann has proven to be one of the top goaltenders in the nation, saving 544 shots (.938). Bergmann has held opponents scoreless in six games, coming in a tie versus Mercyhurst and five shutout victories against Penn State, RPI, Dartmouth, Yale, and St. Lawrence.
The Big Red's scoring production has been spread out, as 12 players currently have double digit points coming into the weekend.
Avi Adam has been a reliable playmaker and leads the way for Cornell in that regard. She is second on the team in assists with with 14. Her nine goals on the year pushes her point-total to 23 which leads the team.
Lindzi Avar has had a seamless adjustment to the college game. Avar currently leads the team with 13 goals to go along with five assists. She has been named ECAC Hockey Rookie of The Week three times this season.
