PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Cornell men's swimming and diving team finished in fifth-place with 912.5 points in the 2025 Ivy League Championships at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
Pietro Ubertalli led the way for Cornell on day four, as he claimed his third gold of the week.
Joseph Gurski earned bronze in the 200-yard butterfly.
Ubertalli won the 200-yard backstroke, stopping the clock at 1:38.99 to set a new Ivy League meet record and claim his third Ivy League gold.
Gabe Anagnoson followed with a time of 1:43.14 for fourth place, while
Blake Conway touched the wall in 1:45.67 to take eighth. In the 200-yard butterfly, Gurski earned a third-place podium finish, reaching the wall in 1:42.88, while
Jacques Grove finished in 10th-place with his time of 1:44.78.
Andrew Lin contributed with a 1:49.03 in the C-final.
In the 100-yard freestyle,
Jack Banks recorded a speed of 43.61 to finish 13th.
Daniel Simoes followed with a finish of 43.71 seconds, and
Dominic Edwards posted a time of 43.75 seconds. In the 200-yard breaststroke,
Haihan Xu clocked a time of 1:56.08,
Sebastian Wolff finished in 1:56.43, and
Connor Brown added a 1:57.99 time. In the 1650-yard freestyle,
Julian Correa placed ninth with a time of 15:16.54, while
Alan Shaaban finished 23rd in 16:00.19.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Ubertalli, Grove, Banks, and Edwards capped off the meet for the Big Red by securing fourth with a time of 2:51.88.
