Rory Guilday '25,
Lily Delianedis '25, and
Katie Chan '25 participated in the the 2025 PWHL Draft presented by Upper Deck on Tuesday evening. The draft consisted of six rounds and allowed all eight teams to select eligible players from the pool of collegiate graduates and players from other professional leagues.
Guilday '25 was met with resounding cheers by her newest home team crowd as she was selected fifth overall by the Ottawa Charge, becoming the first Cornellian to be selected in the first round of the PWHL Draft. Delianedis was chosen 24th overall by Seattle and will be apart of the team in its inaugural season. After becoming the first Cornell women's ice hockey player to be selected in the PWHL draft in 2024,
Izzy Daniel '24 was selected during the 2025 Expansion Draft by Vancouver, moving her from her original team, the Toronto Screptures. Kristin O'Neill '20 was traded during the second round of the draft from the Montreal Victoure to the New York Sirens.
