18 Student-Athletes from Women's Gymnastics Earn WCGA All-America Scholar Athlete Honors

ITHACA, N.Y. – Eighteen members of the Big Red gymnastics team were named to the WCGA All-America Scholar Athlete honors for the 2024-25 academic year, the WCGA announced last month. Cornell achieved a cumulative team grade point average of 3.65 with nine gymnasts posting a perfect 4.0 GPA: Emily Joyce, Anne MacKenzie, Laura MacKenzie, Victoria McMillian, Madison Sakalosky, Morgen Shambo, Anthea Spirko, Cami Whitaker, and Madison Wolf.

The WCGA Board of Directors noted that women's collegiate gymnasts embody the student-athlete ideal, demonstrating discipline, resilience and commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.

Head coach Melanie Hall's squad represents diverse academic disciplines across Cornell's colleges, from biological sciences and engineering to government studies and landscape architecture.

The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association represents intercollegiate women's gymnastics coaches within Division I, II and III of the NCAA and the NAIA, working to promote and elevate the sport at all levels of collegiate competition.
