ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell gymnastics team earned seven All-Gymnastics East Conference selections from four gymnasts; the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Sydney Beers capped off an incredible collegiate career with four GEC honors. On vault, she secured her third consecutive first-team selection with a 9.800 National Qualifying Score (NQS). Beers peaked at the Rutgers Quad on March 7, claiming first place with a 9.850, and stayed consistent, scoring 9.700 or higher in all but one meet this season. Her dominance extended beyond the vault, as she ranked fourth in the conference in the all-around with a 38.775, earning another first-team selection.

Joining Beers on the first team in the all-around was Avery Byun with a 38.485 NQS. Despite battling injuries late in the season, Byun remained a crucial asset to Cornell's lineup, delivering 15 scores of 9.700 or higher across all four apparatuses. Floor emerged as her strongest event, where she surpassed the 9.800 mark in four of six performances. One of her standout moments came on Jan. 18 at the Sacramento State Tri-Meet, where she clinched the all-around title.

Beers' success continued with second-team honors on both beam and floor. She posted a 9.745 NQS on beam, highlighted by a season-best 9.825 at Cornell's home opener. Her floor routines were equally impressive, with five performances scoring in the high 9.800s or better, including a season-best 9.875 at the Ivy Classic.

Junior Morgen Shambo made her mark on the bars, securing a second-team selection with a 9.715 NQS. She opened her season with a statement victory, winning the bars title at Rumble and Tumble with a 9.725. Throughout the season, she consistently delivered strong performances, hitting the 9.700 mark or higher in five meets.

Meanwhile, sophomore Addy Rothstein shined on the floor, earning second-team honors with a 9.785 NQS. She displayed remarkable consistency, scoring 9.700 or higher in eight of her 10 floor routines. Rothstein closed out the season on a high note, achieving a career-best 9.850 in Cornell's final meet against West Chester.
