ITHACA, N.Y. — Senior outside and right side hitter Eliza Konvicka has been named Ivy League Player of the Week following a dominant showing at Cornell's season-opening tournament this past weekend at UAlbany.

Konvicka appeared in two of the Big Red's three matches and still managed to post staggering numbers, totaling 44 kills while averaging 4.89 kills per set on a .400 hitting percentage. She also contributed 1.22 blocks per set to lead Cornell on both sides of the net.

Against Syracuse specifically, Konvicka delivered a match-high 25 kills with a .404 hitting percentage, adding five block assists and three service aces. She closed the weekend with another standout performance against Canisius, recording 19 kills, six blocks, two aces, and 12 digs to cap her all-around effort.

Her explosive start not only set the tone for the Big Red's season but also secured her first Ivy League weekly honor of 2025.
