Women's Swim and Dive Defeats St. Bonaventure, 147-96

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell women's swimming and diving team secured a 147–96 victory over St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon at Teagle Pool. The Big Red held the lead throughout the afternoon and secured the team result with steady scoring.

Cornell won the 400-yard medley relay in 3:45.21, with the relay group of Rosalee Springer, Min Xu, Mingna Xu, and Jungmin Yoon finishing first. Cornell closed the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay, as Mingna Xu, Springer, Ariel Lin, and Kate Li combined for a time of 1:33.20. Erin Dehollander led the distance events, winning the 200 freestyle in 1:51.84 and the 500 freestyle in 5:00.33, while Li also won the 50 freestyle in 23.36.

Springer won the 100 IM in 56.61, Isabel Peng won the 200 butterfly in 2:06.68, and Katherine Ferreira captured first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.02. On the boards, Brooke Andrews placed second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, while Morgan Ogata finished third in each.

The Cornell women's swimming and diving team will return to action next weekend when it travels to compete against Yale at Kiphuth Exhibition Pool. The dive meet is slated for Friday, January 16th at 4:00 p.m., and is set to conclude with the swim meet on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 a.m.
