Gymnastics to Host Bowling Green for Tuesday Dual

ITHACA, N.Y.  After having to cancel its quad meet on Sunday, Jan. 25 due to the winter storm impacting the northeast region, Cornell gymnastics has scheduled a dual meet with Bowling Green set for Tuesday evening inside Teagle Hall. 
 
THE MEET
Cornell will host Bowling Green for a Tuesday night dual meet inside the teams training facility in Teagle Hall. The dual will be the first meet held in Teagle Hall since the 2019 season.
 
CORNELL UPDATE
The Big Red have shown strong floor exercise scoring through two meets, with Josie Moylan posting a team-high 9.800 to tie for first at the LFI Invitational. Sarah Goetter also claimed a floor title in the season opener with a 9.775 against Penn and Bridgeport, and Cornell has posted floor scores of 48.325 and 48.450 in its first two competitions.
 
Cornell has been consistent on vault, where Cami Whitaker leads the way with a season-high 9.825 from the home opener. Whitaker, along with Addy Rothstein and Sarah Goetter, posted matching 9.700 scores at the LFI Invitational. Dahlia Jhaveri has been solid across multiple events with a season-high 9.750 on bars.
 
The Big Red will look to build momentum on balance beam after posting a 47.375 in their last outing. Natalia Tehrani has been Cornell's most consistent beam performer, tying for fourth at the LFI with a 9.725. Team captains Morgen Shambo, Natalia Tehrani and Josie Moylan continue to provide veteran leadership as Cornell seeks its first team victory of the season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Cornell scored 191.325 to finish fourth at the LFI Invitational on Jan. 18. Josie Moylan tied for first on floor (9.800), while Natalia Tehrani tied for fourth on beam (9.725).
 
UP NEXT
The Big Red will travel to Morgantown, W.V., to take part in West Virginia's Women's Empowerment Meet on Friday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m.
