Cornell Gymnastics Hosts Southern Connecticut State on Sunday for Senior Meet

ITHACA, N.Y. Cornell gymnastics hosts Southern Connecticut State University on Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at Newman Arena for the Big Red's annual Senior Meet.

CORNELL UPDATE
The Big Red posted strong individual performances at the Ivy Classic Championships on Feb. 22 in New Haven, scoring 193.575 to finish third. Cami Whitaker tied for first on vault with a 9.825 and tied for third on floor with a 9.850. Grace McLean tied for second on balance beam with a 9.850, finishing just behind Penn's Jordan Barrow. Anne MacKenzie tied for seventh on beam with a 9.800, while Sarah Goetter tied for fourth on uneven bars with a 9.800.
 
Cornell has shown consistent improvement throughout the season, posting its best team score of 192.850 at the Empire State Collegiate Championships on Feb. 14. The Big Red claimed four individual event titles at that meet, with Whitaker winning vault (9.850), Josie Moylan capturing floor (9.875), and Mikayla Burton and Natalia Tehrani tying for first on beam with matching 9.850 scores.
 
Whitaker continues to lead Cornell on vault, having tied her season-high 9.850 twice this season. Moylan holds the team's best floor score of the season at 9.875, while Burton's 9.900 on beam from the West Virginia Quad Meet remains the Big Red's highest individual score of 2026. Morgen Shambo has been a consistent presence on bars throughout the season, posting scores of 9.750 or higher in multiple meets.
The Big Red will look to build momentum heading into the postseason as they celebrate their senior class in their final home meet of the regular season.
