Bergmann Named Semi-Finalist For WHCA Goalie of The Year Award

ITHACA N.Y. - Cornell women's ice hockey goaltender Annelies Bergmann has been named a semi-finalist for the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of The Year Award. This marks the second year in a row that Bergmann has been named a semi-finalist. Bergmann is one of five ECAC Hockey net-minders who are tabbed as semi-finalist.

On the season, Bergmann currently stands with 646 saves, .927 save percentage, and a 1.97 goals-against average. Four of Bergmann's 14 wins this season have come in shutout fashion. She has logged 25 or more saves in 11 contests this season, seven of which the Detroit-native managed more than 30.

Bergmann and the Cornell women's ice hockey team returns to the ice this afternoon against ECAC Hockey foe RPI for senior night. Puck drop between the Big Red and the Engineers is slated for 5:00 p.m. at Lynah Rink. Game action will be broadcast on ESPN+.
