ITHACA, N.Y.  — Cornell junior attackman Ryan Goldstein has been named the Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Goldstein earned the honor after recording four goals and three assists for seven points in No. 6 Cornell's 11-9 victory over No. 10 Harvard on Saturday at Schoellkopf Field, a win that clinched the program's 34th Ivy League regular season championship.

The Radnor, Pa., native was at his best when the Big Red needed him most. With Cornell trailing 4-1 in the second quarter, Goldstein scored and assisted on two others during a four-goal run that flipped the deficit into a 5-4 halftime lead. He then broke a 9-9 tie with 3:35 remaining in the fourth quarter, scoring the go-ahead goal that proved to be the game-winner, before assisting on Willem Firth's clinching tally at 2:48.

Goldstein leads the Big Red with 26 assists on the season, while ranking second in goals with 30. He ranks third in the Ivy League in assists (2.00) and points (4.31) per game.

Cornell hosts the Ivy League Tournament beginning May 1 at Schoellkopf Field.
