ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell men's lacrosse junior Willem Firth and senior Brendan Staub have been named to the Inside Lacrosse Mid-Season All-America teams, the publication announced today. Firth earned second-team honors while Staub received honorable mention recognition.

Firth, a native of Ottawa, Ontario, leads the Big Red and ranks fourth nationally in points per game at 5.13 while pacing the Ivy League in both points per game and goals per game (3.13) through eight games.

The junior attackman has posted 25 goals and 16 assists for 41 points on the season and is also the 2026 recipient of the program's prestigious Hard Hat, an honor given annually to the player who best embodies Cornell's blue-collar work ethic. Firth ranks tied for 11th all-time in Cornell history in man-up goals with 15 and is tied for 36th all-time in career points with 114.

Staub, a Garden City, N.Y. native, has been one of the most disruptive defensive forces in the Ivy League this season, ranking seventh in the conference in caused turnovers per game. The senior midfielder's career total of 55 caused turnovers ranks tied for ninth all-time in Cornell history, putting him among the most productive defensive players in program history. Staub has been a key contributor to a Cornell defense and has helped the Big Red to a 5-3 overall record and 2-1 mark in Ivy League play.

Cornell is back in action on April 4 when it travels to Philadelphia to face No. 15 Penn at historic Franklin Field. Faceoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
