Men's Polo Gallops Past Skidmore, 27-1

ITHACA, N.Y.—The Big Red men's polo team opened its winter season with a 27-1 victory over Skidmore on Saturday night. Cornell improves to 8-2 for the season.

Max Constant scored seven out of his eight goals in the Big Red's first chukker to help Cornell go up by 11. Rich Wiedel and Bobby Harvey each added two of their own. Harvey added four more in the second to finish the night with six goals. Wiedel played in the first and fourth chukkers to tally five goals. Dan Grew and Tim Scott each added three goals of their own, while the horses notched two. The Big Red will play host to Virginia on Jan. 31.
