ITHACA, N.Y. -- Holly McGarvie had four goals and an assist and Princeton broke open a tight contest late in the first half en route to a 15-8 victory over Cornell on Saturday afternoon at Schoellkopf Field. The win extends the Tigers win streak over the Big Red to 22 games and improved the squad to 7-1 (1-0 Ivy), while Cornell fell to 5-3 (1-2 Ivy) with the loss.

Lindsey Kane and
Claire Poza each scored two goals for Cornell, while tied the contest at 4-4 more than 20 minutes into the contest before the Tigers scored the final five goals of the half and three of the first four after the break to take a decisive 12-5 lead.
Tissy O'Connor had four draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover, while
Katie Kirk was credited with three draws, an assist and a pair of ground balls. In all, Cornell held a 15-10 advantage in draw controls. Backup goalkeeper

The Tigers had six players with at least two points, including McGarvie and Lizzy Drumm, who chipped in with three goals and an assist. Marie McKenna was disruptive on defense, causing five turnovers and winning four ground balls. In goal, Eric Tochihara had seven saves and allowed all eight goals while going the distance.
Cornell returns to action on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m. when it visits Dartmouth.
