Cornell trailed by just eight (25-17) in a low-scoring, defensive-minded first half, but the Tigers were able to pick up the pace offensively over the final 20 minutes to outscore the visitors 39-18 and run away with the victory. Cornell was limited to just 24 percent shooting overall (12-of-50) and made only 1-of-11 shots from behind the arc.
Spencer Lane had a career-high five steals and Flynn added three assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block in her 29 minutes of action for the Big Red.

The game was played totally even over the first seven minutes before a pair of Tiger steals led to runout layups to spearhead an 11-0 run, turning a 6-4 deficit into a 15-6 lead. By the time
Maka Anyanwu got free for a layup, the Big Red had been held without a point for more than seven minutes. It would be the team's only field goal for nearly a 10-minute span. Consecutive baskets by Danielak and Fitzpatrick got the visitors back to within 17-14 with 4:33 left, but Princeton got consecutive 3-pointers from Lauren Edwards to immediately reclaim a nine-point edge. It would be as close as the Big Red would get the rest of the night.
Princeton opened the second half on a 13-0 run to all but seal the game. Niveen had six of those points before Lane knifed in for a layup with 16:30 remaining to get Cornell on the scoreboard. The lead grew to as many as 29 in the final minutes as both teams emptied the bench.
Cornell returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. when it plays host to crosstown rival Ithaca College.
