ITHACA, N.Y. – The fourth-ranked men's squash team was a perfect 4-0 at the Cornell Round Robin this weekend, topping Western Ontario, Williams, Hamilton and Stanford at Belkin International Squash Courts.
 
Playing its first matches with the highest ranking in program history – a product of a fourth-place finish at last season's Potter Cup – the Big Red started off with a 6-3 triumph over Western Ontario on Friday. Tied 3-3 after the first two rounds, Cornell pulled away with three-game victories from co-captains Nick Sachvie (No. 1) and Owen Butler (No. 4), and a dramatic win from freshman Graham Dietz at the No. 7 spot in a match where he dropped the first two games.
 
After an 8-1 victory over No. 12 Williams on Saturday morning, Cornell cruised to 9-0 victories over No. 20 Hamilton on Saturday night and No. 24 Stanford on Sunday. Aditiya Jagtap, Ryan Todd, Abhijit Malik and Dietz each swept all four of their respective matches over the weekend.
 
The Big Red is idle next weekend before returning for its Ivy League opener at 11 a.m. on Dec. 2 at No. 10 Columbia.
