ITHACA, N.Y. — The men's squash team rebounded from its first loss of the season on Saturday with a pair of victories on Sunday against Brown and St. Lawrence to improve to 7-1 on the season.
 
Senior co-captain Nick Sachvie won two of his three matches from the No. 1 position, accounting for the Big Red's lone point against Yale. Sachvie handily defeated Yale's Kenneth Chan in three games, but the sixth-ranked Bulldogs had already clinched the upset victory over the fourth-ranked Big Red by that point in the match. The last time the teams met, Cornell secured an historic victory in the 2012 Potter Cup quarterfinals – propeling the program to its first appearance in the national semifinals in program history.
 
The Big Red rebounded in convincing fashion Saturday, starting with its 20th all-time victory against 18th-ranked Brown. Just two of the matches went beyond the minimum three games. Bryan Keating (No. 6) won his first match of the season after debuting the day before.
 
Against the 10th-ranked Saints, the Big Red was in control after each rotation with victories in spots 2-7 in the order. Aditya Jagtap (No. 2), Arjun Gupta (3), Ryan Todd (5) and Keating (6) won their respective matches in three games.
