ITHACA, N.Y. – Junior

Cornell (10-6, 0-2 Ivy League) got off to a good start, with the junior doubles team of

Quoc-Daniel Nguyen winning at the No. 1 spot against a tandem ranked 20th in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Freshmen
Bernardo Casares Rosa and
Colin Sinclair also won at the No. 3 spot in a tiebreaker to lock down the opening point for the hosts.
Fleck accounted for the Big Red's second point with a close victory at the No. 1 singles spot, 7-6, 7-5. There were three other matches that needed tiebreakers, but the Big Green prevailed in each of them – including a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 2 position.
