ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women's lacrosse team travel to No. 16 Princeton for the Ivy League Tournament semifinals Friday at Sherrerd Field at 7 p.m. The Big Red (7-8, 4-3 Ivy) looks to pick up its first Ivy tournament victory since 2006.
ABOUT THE BIG REDSophomore midfielder
Emily Tripodi is currently third in the Ivy League and 36th in the nation for assists with 23, and third in the Ivy League and 30th in the nation for assists per game with 1.53. Junior midfielder
Sarah Hefner is currently third in the Ivy League and 19th in the nation for draw controls with 4.40 per game. Sophomore attack
Lindsay Toppe is currently second in the Ivy League and 29th in the nation for goals with 45, and second in the Ivy League and 12th in the nation for goals per game (3.00). She is also second the Ivy League in points per game (3.73) and is second in the Ivy League in points (52), good for 42nd and 52nd in the nation, respectively.
HEAD COACH JENNY GRAAPJenny Graap returned to her alma mater in 1997 with one goal in mind: to build the Cornell women's lacrosse team into a championship contender. Now in her 17th year at the helm, the 2002 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Coach of the Year and 2006 Inside Lacrosse Magazine and IWLCA Northeast Coach of the Year has developed the Big Red women's lacrosse program into one of the most successful in the nation. She has posted a 157-107 record at Cornell and earned her 160th career win against Binghamton late last season.
ABOUT PRINCETONThe Tigers, based in Princeton, N.J., have a 10-5 overall record and finished second in the Ivy League with a 6-1 record entering the tournament. Princeton most recently is coming off a one-goal loss against Penn State, 14-13. Princeton's other four losses came against a then-No. 2 Maryland team, then-No. 6 Loyola squad and two one-goal overtime losses to then-No. 14 Georgetown and unranked Brown. Erin McMunn leads the Tigers' offense with 27 goals and 11 assists for 38 points. Sarah Lloyd, the Ivy League's Midfielder of the Year this year, has 18 goals and four assists, along with 18 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. Goalie Annie Woehling has spent most of the season in net for Princeton, allowing just 7.741 goals per game and making 68 saves for a .438 save percent.
THE SERIES WITH PRINCETONHistorically, Princeton has dominated the series against Cornell. The teams have met 36 times, and Cornell has come away with wins in just four years: 1985, 1988, 2010 and 2012. The Tigers slipped by the Big Red earlier this season with a three-goal overtime victory, 10-7, to lead the series 32-4.

LAST TIME OUTLindsay Toppe, this season's Ivy League Attacker of the Year, had a team-high three goals and one assist last Saturday against No. 15 Penn in the Big Red's final home game of the season, a 10-8 loss.
Amanda D'Amico had one goal and two assists and
Chelsea Rowe had two goals while
Rachel Moody and
Shelby McNeilly each chipped in one goal.
Carly Gniewek had five saves in the crease and one ground ball. The Big Red and the Quakers had 10 draw controls each.
HOME SWEET HOMELast season brought success at home, as the Big Red held an almost-perfect 6-1 record in home games. The only loss came on a 12-10 decision against Princeton, who eventually went on to the NCAA Tournament. The Big Red has posted a 20-15 home record during the past five seasons, making 2013 its most successful season at Schoellkopf since 2006 when Cornell was a perfect 7-0 at home.
THE HUNT FOR 300Cornell picked up its 299th program win on April 19 against Yale with an 8-7 victory and will look to hit the 300-win milestone this season.
100-POINT CLUBJunior attack
Lindsay Toppe reached the 100-point mark with two goals against Albany on March 16. She is the currently the only member of the Big Red women's lacrosse team this season with over 100 career points (103-27—130).
100 AND COUNTING…Lindsay Toppe is currently the only Big Red player on the roster with 100 career goals. She is one goal shy of making it into the Cornell record books as No. 10 for career goals scored.
SNAPPING RECORDSWith her one draw control won against No. 8 Penn State,
Sarah Hefner broke the Cornell single-season record for draws. The record was previously held by
Caroline Salisbury '13, who had 48 last season. Hefner currently has 66 in 2014. She is also currently the Big Red's all-time leader in draw controls per game (2.74) and second all-time in draws won (118).

Catherine Ellis received the honor this week (April 7) for her six-goal performance in the Big Red's 11-10 double-overtime victory against Dartmouth last Saturday. Junior attack
