ITHACA, N.Y. — The women's tennis team recorded a pair of 7-0 victories in a Saturday doubleheader against Binghamton and Ithaca College at Reis Tennis Center. The wins push Cornell to 6-5 on the season, as it heads into Ivy League play next Saturday against Columbia.
 
The Big Red won all of its matches in straight sets, save for a No. 3 doubles loss to Binghamton early in the day. Cornell still rebounded to win the doubles point, the cruised for the rest of the day to extend its winning streak to five matches. Cornell is now 15-2 all-time against Binghamton and 3-0 all-time against Ithaca in spring dual matches.
 
The day featured the collegiate dual debuts of freshmen Allegra Hanlon and Madison Stevens. Hanlon appeared in a singles match against the Bearcats, while Stevens won in both singles and doubles against Ithaca. Sophomore Kristin Quill also improved to 3-0 in singles play this season with a love-love victory at the No. 5 spot against the Bombers. Earlier, she teamed with Jane Stewart to win a No. 3 doubles match — her first of the season.
