Ben Francis won his match at the No. 9 position accounting for the men's squash team's only point in an 8-1 loss at Yale. The 12th-ranked Big Red falls to 2-1 on the season.
Francis won his match in four sets, keeping Cornell within one point after the first rotation. Yale went on to clinch the match by sweeping all three matches in the middle wave. Seniors Gustav Runersjö (No. 4) and
Graham Dietz (No. 7) each won one set in their respective matches. The loss drops Cornell to 3-55 all-time against sixth-ranked Yale.
The Big Red continues its road trip with an Ivy League match at 11 a.m. Sunday against Brown.
