Women's Polo Eyes First Win Of 2016-17 When Skidmore Visits

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The two-time defending USPA national champion Cornell women's polo team will be looking for its first win of the season when the Big Red host Skidmore on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oxley Equestrian Center.

After dropping a pair of contests to Virginia to kick off the 2016-17 campaign, the Big Red will attempt to extend a seven-game home win streak when the Thoroughbreds visit. Cornell won all four meetings with Skidmore a season ago, including in the opening round of both the Bill Field Invitational and the Northeast Regional Championship.

Cornell won its second straight and 15th national title in program history. The Big Red has advanced to the national title game each of the last six seasons with titles in 2011, 2015 and 2016. Eldredge enters the season approaching his 500th career win with the women and sports a 492-133-17 (.780) record.
