Ithaca, N.Y. – The Big Red defeated the Skidmore Thoroughbreds 23-5 on Saturday afternoon in the Northeast Intercollegiate Regional. 
 
Cornell's starting trio of Elena Wicker, Emma Eldredge, and Anna Winslow wasted no time scoring the first three goals of the chukker.  The Big Red ended the first ahead 6-2. 
 
Cornell carried their momentum into the second chukker by out scoring Skidmore 6-1 to take a 1203 lead into the half. 
 
Senior Claire Stieg subbed in for Eldredge in the third while the Big Red continued their scoring streak to take the 6-2 and build an 18-5 lead heading into the fourth. 
 
Eldredge subbed for Winslow in the fourth and the Big Red brought home the victory 23- 5.  In total, Wicker and Eldredge each scored eight goals apiece with Winslow adding six and one penalty goal being awarded.
 
Cornell takes on the University Connecticut Huskies in the finals on Sunday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oxley Equestrian Center.
