ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell wrestling team won the final three matches of the dual, but Missouri's strength early proved too much to overcome as the ninth-ranked Tigers (7-2) raced out to a 25-0 lead and handed the Big Red (5-2) a 25-11 defeat on Saturday afternoon at Friedman Wrestling Center.
Senior
Brian Realbuto swept the weekend at 184 in place of two-time defending national champion
Gabe Dean with a major decision victory over Matt Lemanowicz to begin a string of three consecutive wins to complete the dual.
Ben Honis majored Jayden Bears at 197, rebounding from a loss on Friday night, as did heavyweight
Jeramy Sweany, a 4-0 winner over Austin Myers.
Missouri's first six wins of the dual all came with highly-ranked wrestlers earning wins, though only three came against Big Red starters at their natural weights.
Cornell will visit EIWA foe Lehigh on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. before returning home to meet Lock Haven on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
