ITHACA, N.Y. — The men's tennis team improved to 11-1 with a doubleheader sweep Sunday at Reis Tennis Center, including the weekend's second victory over an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top-50 team. Senior Colin Sinclair clinched a 4-3 victory over 31st-ranked Wisconsin to start the day, then several Big Red competitors made their first dual match appearances of the season in a 7-0 sweep of Colgate later in the day.
 
Wisconsin started the day's first match by winning the doubles point, but the Big Red rallied to win four of six singles matches. Wins by freshman Lev Kazakov (No. 2) and senior Chris Vrabel (No. 3) got Cornell level, then freshman Pietro Rimondini (No. 5) knotted the score at 3. Sinclair's match went to a third set, where he immediately broke serve and stormed out to a 4-0 lead before cruising to the clinch.
 
The Big Red then sailed to its second 7-0 sweep of the season against Colgate. Freshman Al Hill made his dual-match debut, teaming with Kazakov to win at No. 2 and clinch the doubles point. Karim Arem (No. 5) and Maverick Lin (No. 6) cruised to dominating wins toward the bottom of the singles lineup, and freshman Rohan Sikka's collegiate singles debut (No. 3) pushed the Big Red's lead to 5-0. Freshman Joseph McAllister then wrapped up the sweep by rallying to win in a super-tiebreaker at No. 4.
 
Cornell hits the road for its next four matches, starting with a trip to 45th-ranked Indiana at 3 p.m. CST on Friday and a stop at 11 a.m. CST Sunday at 44th-ranked Memphis.
