NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The men's squash team concluded a busy stretch of four matches over five days on Sunday with a 9-0 loss to Yale at Brady Squash Center.
Yale (8-6), which entered the week ninth in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings, lived up to the role of the favorite by winning eight of the nine matches in three games. Freshman
Illia Presman forced a fourth game in his match at No. 3 for Cornell (6-10), which was ranked 15th to start the week – though there could be some shuffling after upsetting No. 13 Navy on Wednesday, only to then be topped by No. 16 Brown on Saturday.
With just one week remaining before the flights are drawn for the College Squash Association National Championships, the Big Red has three matches upcoming against higher-ranked teams. Cornell hosts #8 Rochester on Wednesday evening and #7 Princeton on Friday before shifting back to the road for next Sunday's regular-season finale at #6 Penn.
