PRINCETON, N.J. —The women's tennis team fell to Princeton, 4-0, on Sunday at Lenz Tennis Center in its final road match of the season.
Cornell (6-14, 0-5 Ivy League) couldn't find any momentum against league-leading Princeton (16-4, 5-0), which quickly locked up the doubles point behind victories from the top two spots. Freshmen
Sarah Campbell and
Khary Pryce were down a break at No. 3 when the match was halted.
In singles, freshman
Valerie Ho had just won the second set of her match at No. 2 when the Tigers clinched the overall match. Freshman
Maria Adiaconitei (No. 4) and Pryce (No. 6) won three games apiece in their respective first sets.
Cornell returns home to wrap up its season next weekend, hosting Harvard at noon Saturday and Dartmouth at noon Sunday.
