The #2 Cornell women's ice hockey team travels to New England to face #10 Harvard and Dartmouth for a weekend of Ivy League play.
Harvard
- Harvard is ranked #10 by both the USCHO.com and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine.
- The Crimson began ECAC Hockey play right away against Dartmouth on Oct. 25 with a 7-4 win. Harvard continued with four more wins against Brown (11/1), Yale (11/2), #7 Princeton (11/8) and Quinnipiac (11/9) before entering play outside of the league. In its four non-conference games, the Crimson fell to Boston University (11/19), New Hampshire (11/23), #2 Wisconsin (11/29) and #1 Minnesota (11/30) to close November. Harvard closed 2019 with three wins against Yale (12/6), Brown (12/7) and #9 Boston College (12/31).
- In the month of January, Harvard went 4-4-1 with wins against Union (1/3), Rensselaer (1/4), St. Lawrence (1/24) and Dartmouth (1/31), losses to Quinnipiac (1/10), Colgate (1/17), #4 Cornell (1/18) and #7 Clarkson (1/25), and a tie against #7 Princeton (1/11). To start off February, the Crimson fell to Northeastern, 3-1 (2/4).
- The Crimson is 11-4-1 in ECAC Hockey games and 12-9-1 overall.
- Sophomore forward Dominique Petrie leads the team with 27 points on 12 goals and 15 assists. 22 of her points were notched in her seven multi-point games. Most recently, Petrie notched an assist at Colgate (1/17).
- Patrie is ninth in the nation in points per game (1.50), 10th in goals per game (.67), and 13th in assists per game (.83).
- Sophomore forward Kristin Della Rovere follows with 25 points on 15 goals and 10 assists.
- Della Rovere has collected a point in 17 of the 22 games she has played, with seven multi-point games. She most recently assisted one goal against New Hampshire (2/4) and two goals against Dartmouth (1/31).
- The ECAC Hockey December Player of the Month is ranked eighth in the nation in goals per game (.68) and 26th in points per game (1.14). She leads the team, third in the nation, with five game-winning goals on the season.
- Outside of the team's top two point-leaders, the Crimson has two more student-athletes in the nation's top-100, along with one more in the top-50 in goals per game.
- Sophomore Anne Bloomer has 18 points, with 11 goals, for 71st in points per game (.82) and 31st in goals per game (.50).
- Senior defender Ali Pepper leads the defense with 12 points, all of which are on assists, for 36th in the nation among all defenders (.55 per game).
- Sophomore Lindsay Reed leads the goalies with 16 starts for 945:01 in goal. With 505 saves and 47 goals against, Reed has a .915 save percentage and 2.33 goals against average.
- The 2019 Second Team All-ECAC Hockey's goals against average ranks 38th in the country while her save percentage is good for 28th.
- As a whole, the team has scored four short-handed goals on the season.
- As a team, the Crimson is 14th in the nation in scoring offense (3.00), 25th in scoring defense (2.77) and 21st in scoring margin (.23).
- Harvard's power-play team ranks 26th in the nation (14.3%) and the penalty kill team is 36th with a 78.1% kill rate.
The Series
- Harvard leads the overall series 56-32-6, which dates back to the 1981-82 season.
- The Big Red enjoyed success in recent years with an eight-game unbeaten streak against the Crimson with five wins and two ties.
- Earlier this season, Cornell earned a 7-0 win against Harvard. On. Jan. 18, the Big Red has three two goal scorers (senior Grace Graham, sophomore Gillis Frechette and freshman Izzy Daniel) along with a tally from senior Jaime Bourbonnais for the victory. Daniel and junior Devon Facchinato earned three points from a power-play team that went 3-for-4 on the power-play.
- Last year, the Big Red won both games in the series. On Oct. 26, 2018, Cornell went two-for-two on the power play for the first two goals of the game. Graham and Bourbonnais each earned a goal before fellow classmate Paige Lewis sunk a puck in the net for the game-winning third goal in the 3-2 win. On Jan. 19, 2019, the Big Red took down the Crimson in a 6-0 shutout. Junior Maddie Mills earned her first career hat trick while Graham, Lenka Serdar '19 and Pippy Gerace '19 contributed the other three goals. .

Dartmouth
- The Big Green started its season right off with an ECAC Hockey game against Harvard (10/25). Beginning with the 7-4 loss against the Crimson, Dartmouth went 4-7-2 in the first half of the season. In double overtime, the Big Green beat Brown 3-2 (11/2). A two-game series against non-conference opponent RIT brought a 1-1 weekend on Nov. 15-16. Similarly, Dartmouth split Thanksgiving weekend with Maine. In both split weekends, the Big Green lost on Friday and won on Saturday. Dartmouth closed 2019 with a win against Franklin Pierce on Dec. 13. Since the start of 2020, the Big Green beat Rensselaer (1/3), tied Union (1/4), and lost to #7 Princeton (1/10), Quinnipiac (1/11), #4 Cornell (1/17), Colgate (1/18), #7 Clarkson (1/24), St. Lawrence (1/25) and #10 Harvard (1/31). Most recently, Dartmouth fell to New Hampshire, 3-1 (2/4).

- Freshman forward CC Bowlby leads the team with 14 points on eight goals and six assists. The first-year is the team's leader in goals with her most recent score being against Colgate (1/18).
- Bowlby is currently tied for 84th in the nation in goals per game (.35). Her .61 points per game is good for 27th among all freshmen in the nation.
- Sophomore forward Gabby Billing and freshman forward Catherine Trevors follow with 13 points. Billing has five goals and eight assists while Trevors has seven goals and six assists. The second-year player leads the team in assists. She has three multi-point games on the season and her most recent game with points was against Union (1/4). The rookie scored the Big Green's most recent goal against New Hampshire to take away the shutout (2/4).
- Trevors follows Bowlby in goals per game with a 98th-rank in the nation (.30). Her .57 points per game puts her in 32nd-place among the rookies.
- Freshman Hannah Humphreys leads the goalies with 19 starts for 1149:56. With 472 saves and 62 goals against, Humphreys has a .884 save percentage and a 3.23 goals against average.

The Series

- Earlier this season, the Big Red defeated the Big Green, 5-1. On Jan. 17, sophomore Gillis Frechette and junior Maddie Mills scored two goals while junior Willow Slobodzian scored one for the four-goal win.
- Last year, the Big Red closed the season with two shutouts against Dartmouth. On Oct. 27, 2018, Cornell earned its first shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory. Seniors Kristin O'Neill, Jaime Bourbonnais and Micah Zandee-Hart scored the first three goals, while Pippy Gerace '19 sealed the win with a fourth tally. O'Neill led the team with three points in the game. On Jan. 18, 2019, seniors Paige Lewis and Jaime Bourbonnais each scored a goal, as well as Lenka Serdar '19, to aid in the 3-0 win. Frechette led with two points on two assists against the Big Green.
