ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Cornell equestrian team earned its first high point of the season in day one of the doubleheader show at RIT, followed by a third place overall finish on day two.

Day one was highlighted by first place finishes from junior Lauren Reeves (Introductory), junior Mikayla Lin (Pre-Novice), sophomore Jillian Steinmetz and senior captain Alexandra Miranda (Limit Flat), sophomore Emma Basher (Limit Fences), Miranda (Intermediate Fences), and sophomore Posie Price (Open Flat and Fences). Price's performance earned her the title of High Point Rider for day one, while Miranda was named Reserve High Point Rider. Price and Lin were each riding in their first collegiate shows.

Senior Katherine Philipp and captains Bianca Garcia and Miranda each pointed out of their classes, moving them to the next highest level in day two and earning them qualifying positions for individual regionals later this season.

Day two saw more Cornell blue ribbons, including Reeves and Claudia Arredondo in Introductory, Annalisa Piscitelli and Emily Pecsok in the Novice class, Jianna Simcik as a rookie in Limit Flat, Taylor Haines in Limit Fences, rookie rider Riley Gerardo in Intermediate Flat, and Price wrapped up first for a second day in a row in Open Fences
