SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Cornell equestrian concluded the regular season with a fourth place finish at the Zone Two finals at Skidmore College. Junior
Emily Pecsok qualified for nationals with a second place finish in the Novice Individual riders class.
The Team Riders were highlighted by
Lauren Benson, who clocked a first place finish in the Introductory class. The Open class saw a fourth place finish in fences by
Alexandra Miranda, and a fifth place finish in flats by
Bianca Garcia. The Intermediate class was rode by
Riley Gerardo, who placed second in fences and third in flats.
Gillian Roche took fourth in the Limit fences, with
Clara Beck grabbing third in the Limit flats. The team was rounded out by
Caroline Gaudet, who placed fourth in the Novice ride.
Individual riders, who had the opportunity to advance to nationals with a second place or better finish, also competed this weekend. Pecsok led the way with her second place finish.
Bianca Garcia had the second-highest finish at fifth place in the Intermediate flats.
Katherine Philipp placed ninth in the same ride.
Posie Price wrapped up ninth in the Open fences. In the Intermediate fences,
Alexandra Miranda finished sixth and
Bianca Garcia took ninth. The Limit flat was rode by
Taylor Haines, who placed 8th.
Claudia Arredondo wrapped up the individual class with a seventh place finish in the Introductory ride.
