STORY LINES

• The Cornell women's lacrosse team will play its final regular season road contest when it visits No. 19 Yale on Saturday, April 22 at 1 p.m. at Reese Stadium in New Haven, Conn.
• The contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.
• Cornell is trying to keep pace in the Ivy standings as it attempts to clinch a spot in the Ivy League Tournament as six teams enter the final two weekends within a game of the top four.
• Cornell will be out to snap a five-game skid, including four defeats to top 20 teams over that span, while also attempting to snap a 24-game skid against ranked opponents.
• The Big Red offense, ranked third in the conference at 13.1 goals per game, has reached double figures in scoring in all 13 contests this season.
• Picked fourth in the Ivy League's preseason media poll, Cornell returns eight starters and 18 letter winners from last season's 8-8 squad.
• Cornell went 4-3 in Ivy play last spring, making its ninth appearance in 11 all-time (including eight of the past nine) Ivy League Tournaments as the No. 3 seed.
• Four senior All-Ivy selections return in 2023, with Katie Castiello and Amanda Cramer on attack, Annie Thomas in the midfield and Hilary Hoover on defense.

SERIES HISTORY VS. YALE

Overall: Cornell leads 22-21, first meeting in 1980
In New Haven, Conn.: Yale, 11-10
Current Streak: Yale, 2
Last Meeting: Yale, 16-6 (5/6/2022 in Princeton, N.J.)
Graap vs. Yale: 17-8 (7-4 on the road)
Series Notes: Cornell holds a narrow 22-21 edge thanks in large part to the Big Red's 12-game win streak that was snapped last season • the Big Red is 17-8 against the Bulldogs under head coach Jenny Graap • Cornell had won five straight against Yale by at least four goals prior to last year, when the bulldogs swept two meetings against the Big Red, including a 16-6 Yale win in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals.

A WIN OVER YALE WOULD

• even Cornell's record at 7-7 on the season.
• push the Big Red's Ivy record to 3-3.
• snap Cornell's five-game skid.
• extend the Big Red's lead in the all-time series to 23-21.
• be the program's first win over a ranked opponent since topping No. 15 Notre Dame 12-7 on May 12, 2017.
• snap a 24-game losing streak vs. ranked foes.
• be the 369th in program history (368-317-4 in 51 seasons, .537).

LAST TIME OUT

• Senior Katie Castiello surpassed the 100-point mark for her career, but a big third quarter rally allowed No. 17 Penn to knock off Cornell 15-12 in women's lacrosse action at Franklin Field.
• Castiello became the 28th player in school history to reach 100 points when she cashed in on a free-position shot with 3:57 left in the first quarter.
• She ended the day with a goal and an assist, one of six players with multi-point efforts.
