The Last Time Out vs Penn State
Game One:
The No.10-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated No.13-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions 4-1 on Friday night in the season opener from Lynah Rink.

Junior forward Katie Chan, a transfer from Colgate, netted two Big Red goals in her Big Red debut. Freshman goaltender Annelies Bergmann, who took the net for the first time of her Cornell career, registered 14 saves between the pipes and accumulated a .933 save percentage.

Game Two:
The No. 10-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team earned a 5-2 victory on the second side of a back-to-back against No. 13-ranked Penn State, completing the weekend sweep.

Izzy Daniel registered three helpers in the contest, going to Mckenna Van Gelder on a power play, Lily Delianedis, and Georgia SchiffClaudia Yu and Daniel also registered Big Red goals.

Big Red Players To Watch
Annelies Bergmann was strong in net against the Lakers, saving 60 Laker-opportunities in the series including holding them scoreless in the opener. Bergmann will be an important factor in the success on the defensive-end of the ice for Cornell.

Lily Delianedis, an All-ECAC Preseason selection, registered 10 shots-on-net in the series against Mercyhurst. Delianedis is certain to be a catalyst for Cornell's success and will look to cash-in at the Ice Break Tournament.

Avi Adam produced 13 shot-chances last weekend against Mercyhurst. Although she did not manage to find the back of the net, the junior forward will likely be looking to finish this weekend to help the Big Red get on the board.
