First Meeting
ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell women's ice hockey team dropped an ECAC Hockey contest against the no. 9-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats at Lynah Rink on Friday night. Cornell suffered the first loss of the season, dropping to 10-1-1, while the Bobcats improved to 12-2-0.

Kaitlin Jockims who scored the lone Big Red goal of the contest.

Second Meeting
HAMDEN, Conn. - The no. 8 Cornell women's ice hockey team took down the no. 6-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats in a thrilling 4-3 contest on Saturday evening at M&T Bank Arena. The Big Red improved to 15-5-1 on the season, while the Bobcats dropped to 21-5-1.

The Series
The Big Red leads the series with Quinnipiac, 19-14-7. Cornell and Quinnipiac split the series in the regular season, with both squads taking a game on road-ice.

Quinnipiac will enter the weekend with a 25-9-1 record overall. The Bobcats are coming off of a dominant 9-0 ECAC Hockey Opening Round victory over the Harvard Crimson.

Big Red 2024 Ivy League Dominance
Cornell earned a 9-1 record against Ivy opponents, outscoring those teams 53-16. Cornell closed out the regular season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over defending Ivy champion Yale at Ingalls Rink to claim its 16th title in program history.
The Big Red swept Ivy League major awards and had eight Cornellians named to All-Ivy teams.

Daniel ranks second in the nation in assists per game with 1.14, eighth in goals per game with .69 per contest, and second in points per game with 1.83. Since joining the top-line as left-wing in place of sidelined skater Chan, first-year forward
Karel Prefontaine has registered a handful of points of her own, increasing her total to 21 points on 10 goals and 11 assists. Delianedis has been the anchor to those explosive wingers, collecting 342 wins during her face off duties, and lighting the lamp four times during Big Red power-play opportunities.
Kaitlin Jockims has emerged as an X-Factor for the Big Red, scoring 12 goals on the season along with eight assists. Jockims is netting the puck with precision, boasting a 28.6% shot percentage. She is responsible for three short-handed goals on the year, and has four game-winning goals which is tied for first on the team with Delianedis.
Goalies By Committee
Annelies Bergmann has played in 24 games, earning 537 saves (high - 43, three shutouts) with a .927 save percentage.
Deanna Fraser has started six games, earning 84 saves (high - 23) with a .903 save percentage to go along with a shutout victory over Syracuse.

Daniel exploded for a six-point weekend in the opener versus no. 13 Penn State, registering her points on one goal and five assists. She eclipsed her 100th-career point in the process of sweeping the Nittany Lions. In dramatic fashion, Daniel would capture the 150-point mark, on an overtime game-winning goal against Brown to push the Big Red closer to its 16th Ivy League title.
She now sits with 152 points on the season, which slots her fifth all-time in program history, and her season total of 53 points has her fifth in program history as well. In other
Izzy Daniel record-breaking news, the Minnesota native ranks third all-time in career assists, and is five helpers away from tying the single-season assist record, where she is currently fifth with 33.
Daniel has scored at least one point in 23 out of 29 games this year, and two or more points in 18 games. She has earned ECAC Hockey Player of The Week three times this year, as well as ECAC Hockey Player of the Month. As far as post-season awards go, Daniel captured Ivy League Player of The Year Honors along with a first-team selection. With ECAC Hockey Award announcements pending, Daniel is a sure-fire candidate for more hardware.
