Lightweight Rowing Claims 10th Consecutive Baggaley Cup

HANOVER, N.H. — For the 10th consecutive time, the Cornell men's lightweight rowing team claimed the Baggaley Cup after sweeping all three races on Saturday morning.

In the first race of the day, Cornell's 2V8 and 3V8 finished ahead of Dartmouth's JV crew. Cornell's JV squad posted a time of 5:47.9 before the Big Red's third varsity finished 3.8 seconds behind its counterparts and eight seconds ahead of the Big Green.

The Baggaley Cup race favored the Big Red for the 10th consecutive time and the 13th time in the last 15 races as Cornell registered a 3.7-second victory over Dartmouth.

Cornell's second varsity four finished ahead of the first varsity four with its 2.2-second victory. Dartmouth's crew finished the course 23 seconds behind the first-place finishing crew.
