ITHACA, N.Y. -- Four Big Red sailing athletes have been named to the 2023-24 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Academic sailing team. The trio includes a two-time honoree, Clara Hewson.

Hewson is joined by Amelia Neumann, JJ Smith, and Lauren Ehnot. The four Big Red marks the 11th consecutive year where Cornell has named at least three to the list.

The ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes juniors and seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in at least seven regattas during the season and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A committee comprised of representatives from conferences in the ICSA evaluates the nominated sailors. The 2023-24 All-Academic teams include 290 student-athletes from across the country.

Cornell posted one of its best seasons to date last year, accumulating seven first-place finishes and a fourth-place ranking nationally in the women's category. The Big Red boasted the program's first finalist for national sailor of the year in Bridget Green and a pair of All-Americans.
