ITHACA, N.Y. -- Four members of the Cornell women's tennis team will compete at the Ivy League Conference Masters Women's Qualifier, hosted by Harvard from Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24–26, at the Beren Tennis Center. The event serves as a qualifying tournament for the ITA Conference Masters Championships, to be held Nov. 6-9 in San Diego, Calif.
Representing the Big Red in singles play will be senior Emma Baker, junior Michelle Ryndin, sophomore Andrea Martinez De Los Rios, and freshman Dylan Gelber. In doubles action, Baker and Gelber will team up, while Ryndin and De Los Rios form Cornell's second pairing.
Winners in both singles and doubles will advance to the ITA Conference Masters Championships, part of a two-year pilot shifting the NCAA individual qualifying process to the fall season.
Cornell has already secured berths in the ITA Sectional Championships for Victoria Zhao and Sage Loudon for Nov. 6-9 in Chapel Hill, N.C.
