ITHACA, N.Y. -- Eight members of the Cornell women's tennis team will represent the Big Red at the 2025 ITA Northeast Regional Championships, hosted by Harvard University from Thursday, Oct. 9 through Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Beren Tennis Center in Cambridge, Mass.
Tournament play begins at 9 a.m. daily through Sunday, with matches starting at 10 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday if Cornell student-athletes advance through the bracket.
Representing Cornell at the five-day event are seniors
Emma Baker,
Tanya Fan, and
Gia Graziano, juniors
Michelle Ryndin and
Victoria Zhao, sophomores
Sage Loudon and
Andrea Martinez De Los Rios and freshman
Dylan Gelber.
In singles competition, Ryndin, Zhao, and Loudon will begin play in the main draw, while Baker, Fan, Gelber, Graziano, and Martinez De Los Rios will compete in the qualifying draw for a chance to join them.
The Big Red will also field three doubles pairings: Ryndin and Zhao, Gelber and Baker and Loudon and Martinez De Los Rios.
The ITA Northeast Regional Championships are one of 12 regional events held across the country, with top finishers earning coveted spots at the ITA National Fall Championships. The two singles finalists from each region will qualify for the national singles draw, while each region's doubles champion earns a berth in the national doubles bracket.
Ryndin and Zhao reached the Round of 16 in doubles last year and the duo will look to build on that success this weekend at Harvard.
