ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell sailing team will head to Providence, R.I. for the ICSA Women's Team Racing Nationals as part of two regattas on the weekend schedule. The Admiral's Cup will be held on April 26-27, with nationals kicking off on Sunday, April 27 and continuing through Monday, April 28. The final day of nationals will be streamed live via ESPN+.
The Big Red, ranked No. 4 nationally under head coach
Lior Lavie, is among 12 teams that will compete at nationals, joining No. 3 Brown, No. 7 Charleston, No. 9 Dartmouth, No. 5 Georgetown, No. 6 Harvard, No. 8 MIT, No. 14 Penn, No. 2 Stanford, No. 13 Tufts, No. 11 Tulane and No. 1 Yale. This is the Big Red's fourth appearance at team race nationals and third consecutive, with its best-ever finish coming in a sixth-place effort in 2023. Racing begins at 10 a.m. each day out of the Ted Turner '60 Pavilion at the Edgewood Yacht Club in Cranston, R.I.
Cornell will kick off the weekend on Saturday with the Admirals Cup in Kings Point, N.Y. The Big Red finished seventh of 18 teams last spring at the event, winning the B division along the way.
