Golf Competes at Columbia Autumn Invitational This Weekend

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell golf program will travel to Lake Placid to continue the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday, Sep. 27 and Sunday, Sep. 28 at the Columbia Autumn Invitational at the Lake Placid Club.

THE FIELD
A total of 13 teams will travel to Lake Placid for Columbia's Autum Invitational, including fellow Ivy League members Columbia, Brown, and Dartmouth.
 
TOURNAMENT FORMAT 
The 54-hole tournament will be played under the play five, count four format over two days.
 
THE SEASON SO FAR
Cornell has competed in two events this fall, including a fifth-place finish at the Red Bandana Invitational to open the season. The Big Red followed that with a 12th place result at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial with a team-low 54-hole score of 894, improving on its team score by 33 strokes from the Red Bandana.
 
Shep Davis has led the Big Red through six rounds this season, posting an average score of 74.83, while recording the teams best individual finish in a tournament, tying for eighth at the Red Bandana Invitational.
 
Tyler Betlow is second on the team with a 76.0 average through six rounds.
 
Adithya Venkataraghaven has the team's lowest round score of the season at 71, which came during the second round of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, while Davis, Betlow, and Viktor Stollinger have recorded rounds of 73 or better so far this season.
 
LAST TIME AT COLUMBIA'S AUTUMN INVITE
The Big Red finished 5th out of 11 teams with a 54-hole score of 862, which would hold up as the teams lowest 54-hole score of the 2024-25 season.
 
Tyler Debusschere recorded his lowest round of his sophomore season, posting a 70 in round one. He would record back-to-back scores of 73 to finish the tournament tied for 18th with a 54-hole score of 216.
 
TJ Betlow posted a three-round score of 217 to finish tied for 22nd, while Weston Warden finished tied for 29th with a 218.
