Big Red Claims 98 Points On Opening Day Of The Ivy League Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell women's swimming and diving team completed day one of the 2026 Ivy League Championships. Through two events, the Big Red sits sixth in the team standings with 98 points. Harvard leads the field with 118 points, followed by Princeton (112), Brown (110), Yale (104) and Penn (104).

Cornell began the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of Ming Xu, Audrey Holden, Sadye Dersadt and Kate Li touched the wall in 1:39.56 to score 50 points for the Big Red. In the evening's second event, Cornell placed sixth in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Jungmin Yoon, Hojung Yoon, Erin DeHollander and Rosalee Springer combined for a 7:16.13 finish to add 48 points.

The Cornell women's swimming and diving team will return to the pool tomorrow, as it will look to add to it's team score and climb the ranking. Competitions are slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
